Jharsuguda police successfully cracked an inter-state theft gang through Operation Netra. Acting on a burglary case registered at Badamal police station on March 5 (Case No. 86), police arrested four accused and recovered stolen cash worth Rs 87,000.

Investigators formed a special team to probe the case. Using scientific methods, they collected evidence from the crime scene and examined CCTV footage from nearby areas. Based on technical data and intelligence inputs, police apprehended the suspects within two days.

The arrested individuals include Sabdar Ali (25) from Giridih, Jharkhand; Mohammad Saddam alias Chhotu (21) from Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh; Tarun Sumuthar (20) from Purana Basti, Jharsuguda; and Shiva Sahu (22), originally from Khordha district but currently residing in Malimunda, Jharsuguda.

The police produced the accused in court today. Authorities urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station to strengthen community safety.
