IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory for passengers flying to or from Goa, citing disruptions due to heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The airline has warned that flight delays or cancellations are possible and urged travelers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

In an update posted on social media platform X, IndiGo stated:

“#6ETravelAdvisory: #Goa is experiencing rain, which may affect flight operations. Stay updated on your flight status via our website for the latest information.”

IndiGo emphasized that its customer service teams are on standby to assist affected travelers. “We strongly recommend all customers to allocate additional travel time and stay informed, as poor weather conditions may also affect local traffic,” the advisory read.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Goa, valid for two days. After that, the alert level will be downgraded to Yellow.
IMD Goa Station In-charge N.P. Kulkarni said:

“We are currently observing signs of pre-monsoon activity. South Goa has already received nearly 70 mm of rainfall over the past two days. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue today and tomorrow.”

Thunderstorms accompanied by winds gusting at 30–40 kmph are likely to affect areas in North and South Goa, potentially disrupting both air travel and road traffic.
