The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has relocated the opening One Day International (ODI) match between India and Sri Lanka from Delhi to Visakhapatnam.

Scheduled for December 13, the series opener will now take place at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on the original date.

The venue change followed a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), citing potential weather disruptions and planned stadium work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Severe winter air pollution in the national capital and ongoing work to relay the stadium’s outfield prompted the association to seek an alternative host city.

The upcoming bilateral tour comprises three ODIs and three T20Is. Following the opener in Visakhapatnam, the second and third ODIs are set for Bengaluru on December 16 and Ahmedabad on December 19, respectively.

ODI Series Schedule

Match Date Day Time (IST) Venue
1st ODI December 13, 2026 Sunday 2:00 PM ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam
2nd ODI December 16, 2026 Wednesday 2:00 PM M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
3rd ODI December 19, 2026 Saturday 2:00 PM Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

T20I Series Schedule

Match Date Day Time (IST) Venue
1st T20I December 22, 2026 Tuesday 7:00 PM SCA Stadium, Rajkot
2nd T20I December 24, 2026 Thursday 7:00 PM Barabati Stadium, Cuttack

  • A customer at Regal Food Park in Infocity, Patia, allegedly found insects in the cauliflower served in a vegetable curry. When the customer raised the issue, the restaurant representative reportedly responded dismissively, asking how they could be expected to spot insects inside a cauliflower and stating that nothing could be done.
Despite the complaint, the customer and his friends were required to pay the entire bill. The incident raises serious concerns about food hygiene and the restaurant’s handling of customer complaints.
