The Philippines has officially announced visa-free entry for Indian tourists—ushering in a new era of travel convenience and cultural exchange.
The announcement follows bilateral talks between Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Marcos’ five-day state visit to India.
In reciprocation, India will extend free e-visa facilities to Philippine citizens. The leaders also confirmed the launch of direct flights between Delhi and Manila, starting October 1, 2025. The new air route, operated by Air India, will run five times a week and is expected to boost tourism, trade, and diplomatic engagement.
India and the Philippines also commemorated 75 years of diplomatic relations with the release of a joint postage stamp, symbolising their shared vision for the future.
