IIM Sambalpur has announced the launch of admissions for the second batch of its undergraduate programmes, marking a significant step in expanding its academic offerings.
The institute is inviting applications for two flagship courses—Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and Management & Public Policy—designed to meet the evolving demands of industry and governance.
These programmes are structured in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), ensuring flexibility through multiple exit options and interdisciplinary learning. Students will have the opportunity to pursue cutting‑edge knowledge in technology and policy, preparing them for leadership roles in diverse sectors.
Officials at IIM Sambalpur highlighted that the courses aim to bridge the gap between academic excellence and real‑world application, equipping graduates with skills that resonate with both corporate and public institutions. The initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to nurturing talent in emerging fields while strengthening its role as a hub for innovation and policy research.

The curriculum is built on experiential and applicative learning, with AI-enabled classrooms, industrial collaborations, practical applications, case-based teaching, and workshops conducted by industry experts. Students will get chance to participate in corporate internships (for four weeks) and social internships (for two weeks), gaining practical knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines.

Eligibility & Admission Process:
- B.S. in Data Science & AI: Admission based on JEE (Main) 2026 scores and minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS)
- B.S. in Management & Public Policy: Admission based on IPMAT 2026 scores (conducted by IIM Indore) and minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS)
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for an online Personal Interview
- Application Status: Applications open for the 2026 batch
Programme Fee:
The fees for both programmes are approximately ₹25 lakhs for the four-year (8 semesters) duration (as per the official website).
