The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for fresh admissions and re‑registration for the July 2026 academic session till September 15, 2026.
Students can apply for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma and Certificate programmes through the official portals. For re‑registration, a late fee of Rs 200 will be applicable.
Special concessions have been announced for SC/ST applicants, with 50% fee exemption for UG programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce. However, students already availing benefits from other sources will not be eligible for this waiver.

Senior Regional Director Dr Manoj Kumar Das confirmed the extension and urged students to utilise the opportunity.
