The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the schedule for the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

The prestigious 50-over tournament will kick off on September 30, 2025, with hosts India facing Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. A total of five cities—Bengaluru, Vizag, Indore, Guwahati, and Colombo—will host the matches.

Reigning champions Australia will commence their title defence against New Zealand in Indore on October 1. The eight-team tournament will follow a round-robin format, ensuring each team faces every other competitor before the top four advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be hosted in Bengaluru and either Guwahati or Colombo, leading to the grand final on November 2.

As per ICC regulations, the top six teams from the Women’s Championship secured direct qualification, while Pakistan and Bangladesh earned their spots through the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier held earlier this year.

With India, Australia, England, and South Africa among the contenders, fans can anticipate thrilling matchups throughout the tournament, culminating in an intense battle for the coveted trophy.
