Popular television and film actress Hina Khan has taken a strong stand against a wave of online abuse and threats from individuals across the border.
The 37-year-old actress, who is battling cancer, recently voiced her unwavering support for India following the nation’s military action against terrorist activities.
Khan revealed that since expressing solidarity with her country in light of Operation Sindoor, she has been subjected to severe hate, with trolls targeting not only her patriotism but also her faith, family, and medical condition. Despite the negativity, Khan remains resolute, declaring, “I am nothing if not Indian.”
Her powerful message comes after India’s response to the Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 innocent lives. Khan’s vocal support for her country’s defence forces has led to unfollows and criticism, but she refuses to back down, affirming that standing by her nation is non-negotiable.
The actress emphasised that she never disrespected anyone across the border but expected a basic level of humanity. She urged people to maintain dignity regardless of differing national sentiments. “I did not abuse or curse anyone—I only support my country,” Khan stated firmly.
Beyond the online backlash, Khan continues her battle with cancer, a journey she has openly shared with her fans. Despite personal challenges, she remains steadfast in her values, proving that no amount of hate can shake her patriotic spirit.
