Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati has emphasised the need for collective effort by government, citizens, industry, academia, civil society, and media to build a prosperous future for the state.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Odisha Abhyudaya Conclave 2026, organised by Sakal and Nandighosha TV, the Governor said Odisha must be envisioned as a place where youth can dream with confidence, women lead with dignity, children access quality education, and development reaches the last mile.
Highlighting the vision of Developed Odisha @2036, he called for value addition in mineral resources, innovation, entrepreneurship, and quality employment, stressing that Odisha’s natural wealth should become a driver of human development and prosperity.
Dr Kambhampati praised the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in aligning Odisha’s growth with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He underscored education as a priority, urging the creation of centres of excellence in knowledge, research, and innovation, and preparing youth not only to seek jobs but also to create them.
The Governor also emphasised women‑led development, disaster management success, sports infrastructure, and the role of media in inspiring change through stories of farmers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and scientists. He said developed Odisha must be measured not only by economic growth and infrastructure but also by education quality, women’s dignity, community resilience, health, and youth confidence.
