A shocking incident unfolded at Nirakarpur Railway Station under Khordha Railway Division when a four-month-old baby boy was stolen from the platform.
The child’s parents were resting on the platform with their infant son when the crime occurred.
According to the complaint filed at the Nirakarpur Government Railway Police (GRP) station, the mother was holding the baby in her lap when an unidentified miscreant snatched the child and fled. The distressed family immediately approached the GRP police and lodged a formal complaint.
Railway Police registered a case and began investigating the matter. Officers are scanning CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to trace the suspect. The incident has triggered panic among passengers and locals, raising concerns about safety inside railway premises.
The family remains in deep distress as police intensify efforts to recover the infant. Authorities have assured that every possible measure will be taken to trace the child and bring the culprit to justice.
