A student died, and more than 120 others fell ill after suspected food poisoning at Kakabandh Ashram School in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.
The incident unfolded when children consumed pakhala with potato chutney.
Soon after the meal, several students reported vomiting, diarrhoea, and fever. Medical teams rushed them to Rasgovindpur Hospital, where over 120 remain under treatment.
