A second-year engineering student was found dead inside her hostel room at a private college in Seragada area under Khantapada police station in Baleshwar district on Monday night.
The deceased student has been identified as Bhagyashree Raut, a Computer Science student from the Nilagiri-Panchalingeswar area.
According to reports, Raut was staying in the college hostel. Other students reportedly found her dead inside her room at around 9:30pm and informed the college authorities and police.
Family reaches college after student’s death
Following the incident, family members of the student reached the college after being informed about her death.
The circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear, and the exact cause of death has not yet been established.
Police begin investigation
Khantapada police reached the spot after receiving information and began a preliminary investigation.
