The people of Odisha are experiencing intense heat as temperatures have already crossed 37°C before noon today.
Jharsuguda recorded a sweltering 37.2°C by 11:30 am, while Boudh reached a scorching 39.5°C the previous day.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), maximum daytime temperatures are expected to rise gradually by 2-3°C over the next five days. Consequently, yellow and orange heat warnings have been issued for various regions in Odisha from March 13-16, indicating isolated and more severe heatwave conditions.
