The Malkangiri district administration has earned national acclaim as Collector and District Magistrate Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke is set to receive the prestigious Skoch Award for administrative excellence and innovative public‑welfare initiatives.
The award recognises the district’s flagship youth‑empowerment program, Pragati Pathe Yuva Malkangiri, which has transformed local participation and skill development. After clearing a rigorous multi‑tier evaluation by the Skoch Group, the administration was officially informed of its selection.
The honour will be formally conferred at the 110th Skoch Summit on September 26 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Rajeshirke described the achievement as a tribute to the district’s field‑level teams, the active involvement of local youth, and the continuous guidance of the Odisha Government.
He said the recognition would inspire faster progress in service delivery and development initiatives across Malkangiri. Officials and staff hailed the award as a result of visionary leadership, teamwork, and tireless dedication that have brought pride and optimism to the district.
