Eight Workers Injured in Explosion at Tata Steel Plant in Jajpur

Eight workers were injured in a blast at the Tata Steel Plant in Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district on Friday.


The incident occurred around noon at the plant’s steel melting shop.

According to initial reports, an explosion at the site caused burn injuries to the affected workers, including a woman. The injured individuals were immediately rushed to the plant’s health facility for medical treatment.

Upon being informed, local police and administrative officials arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the unfortunate incident. Authorities are yet to disclose further details regarding the cause of the explosion.
