The Commissionerate Police has declared the road in front of the judicial complex in Bhubaneswar as a ‘no-parking zone’.
The measure, announced on Friday, aims to ensure smoother traffic flow and reduce illegal parking in the area.
To promote compliance, an awareness campaign has been launched, with placards being placed along the stretch. Authorities emphasized that enforcement measures, such as towing vehicles and imposing fines, will follow if violations persist.
“With the new judicial complex offering parking facilities, we urge motorists to utilize designated areas and avoid illegal parking,” said ACP-Traffic Umakanta Pradhan.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to decongest Bhubaneswar’s roads, including plans for ring roads, elevated corridors, and smart parking systems, supported by technological studies and innovative solutions.
