In view of the rising number of diarrhoea cases in Bhadrak district, the District Collector has ordered the closure of all educational institutions until June 21 as a precautionary measure.
This includes anganwadi centres, schools, and colleges.
The district health department has reported a surge in diarrhoea infections over the past few days, prompting swift administrative action to curb further spread. In a public appeal, officials have urged citizens to remain vigilant and follow hygiene protocols.
“The situation is being closely monitored, and we are taking every step to safeguard public health,” said a spokesperson from the Bhadrak district administration.
Local authorities have also intensified awareness campaigns and water sanitation efforts across vulnerable areas. Parents and guardians are encouraged to keep children indoors and avoid consuming unhygienic food or water sources.
This temporary shutdown is part of a broader strategy to control the outbreak and protect students from possible exposure during the critical period.
