Andaman: An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale jolted the Andaman Islands on Wednesday morning. The tremor was felt at 7.53 AM (Indian Standard Time – IST), the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the NCS said that the depth of the earthquake that jolted the Andaman islands was reported at a depth of 10 kilometre (km). The NCS, an earthquake measuring agency, also stated that of mild 4.1 magnitude tremor was located at latitude 12.66 and longitude 93.02.
No loss of lives or damages to the properties have been reported from the Andaman Islands so far due to the mild quake. Also, the alert for Tsunami was not raised by the authorities.
