The State Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department has now made the duck farm functional again. Hatchers and setters equipped with modern technology have been installed now in the farm.

In the first instance, 3,000 eggs are laid in the machine, from which chicks will come out after 21 days. Chicks will be supplied to livestock farmers in the state at an affordable price. These chicks will be useful for backyard duck rearing along with semi-commercial duck farming.
