Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr L. Murugan, called upon young Indians to harness their innovative potential and skills to fulfil the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Addressing students at an institute in Noida, the Minister stressed the importance of lifelong learning, quality education, and entrepreneurship.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of placing Yuva Shakti at the heart of national development, Dr Murugan noted that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has made education more flexible and multidisciplinary. He also spotlighted initiatives like One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) for democratizing access to global research.
Urging students to look beyond degrees, the Minister encouraged them to gain practical problem-solving skills and explore high-growth sectors at the intersection of technology and creativity, including artificial intelligence, gaming, animation, and digital content. He emphasised that youth must transition from being mere consumers of technology to becoming global creators.
Concluding his address, Dr Murugan reminded students of their constitutional duties, urging them to cultivate a scientific temper and contribute actively toward building a prosperous, self-reliant nation.
