The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) continues to operate normally, despite recent airspace adjustments and heightened security protocols.
Authorities have advised travellers to expect possible delays in flight schedules and security processing times due to ongoing security measures.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates the airport, reassured passengers that while operations remain stable, travellers should allow additional time for security checks. The increased security measures follow the recent understanding between India and Pakistan to cease military actions across land, air, and sea.
“Due to evolving airspace dynamics and enhanced security protocols, some flight schedules and processing times at security checkpoints may be affected. We urge passengers to cooperate with security personnel for smooth facilitation,” DIAL said in an official statement.
The national capital’s airport typically manages around 1,300 flight movements daily, making it the busiest in the country. With the ongoing changes, travellers are encouraged to stay updated with their airline for real-time flight information.
