Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Odisha to conduct a comprehensive review of operations at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) facility situated in Sunabeda, Koraput district.
During the visit on Tuesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inspect various manufacturing, engine production, and maintenance facilities at the Sunabeda complex. He will engage in detailed discussions with high-ranking officials and technical experts to evaluate ongoing projects, production targets, and operational readiness aimed at strengthening India’s defence ecosystem.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will accompany the Defence Minister throughout the high-profile visit. Their joint review underscores the strategic significance of the Sunabeda division in advancing self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) within India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing domain.
In light of the high-level visit, security measures across Koraput district have been significantly augmented. The Koraput district police and state security agencies have instituted multi-tier security cordons, route deployments, and comprehensive monitoring across Sunabeda and adjacent transit corridors to ensure smooth execution of all official events.
