Cuttack Crime Branch, along with Dharmasala police, raided Pobal village in Jajpur district late Monday night in connection with a cyber fraud case.
The joint operation targeted the residence of Saroj Jena, the prime accused, over suspicious financial transactions.
During the raid, officials seized nearly Rs 20 lakh in cash. Sources confirmed that three individuals linked to Saroj were detained for questioning. The raid began around 11 pm and continued until 3 am, according to Dharmasala police officials.
Investigators revealed that Saroj Jena remains absconding. His alleged involvement in large-scale cyber fraud prompted the Crime Branch to intensify surveillance and launch coordinated action.
