Ahead of the much-awaited India vs South Africa T20 International at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has introduced dedicated ‘Ama Bus’ services to ensure smooth and convenient travel for spectators on December 9.
With a large turnout of cricket fans expected for the 7 pm match, the special services aim to ease traffic pressure and provide reliable connectivity from key points in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Special Match-Day Bus Corridors from Bhubaneswar
CRUT has announced two exclusive Ama Bus routes, operating every 20 minutes from 3:30 pm onward:
Route 1: Baramunda BSABT → Barabati Stadium
Via Jaydev Vihar Square → KIIT Square → Nandankanan → Judicial Academy → Sati Chaura Square (near stadium)
Route 2: Bhubaneswar Railway Station → Barabati Stadium
Via Vani Vihar Square → Rasulgarh Square → Nakhara Square → Link Road → CNBT → Judicial Academy → Stadium

Fare: ₹40 (Non-AC, one-way)
Dedicated Cuttack Shuttle Service
A separate AC shuttle will operate between Cuttack Railway Station and Barabati Stadium from 4:00 pm.
This loop will cover:
Sati Chaura Square → Judicial Academy → CNBT → OMP Square → Stadium

Regular Mo Bus Services Also Operational
CRUT confirmed that the regular Mo Bus network will continue alongside match-day special routes. Key services include:

Route 17: Biju Patnaik International Airport → Barabati Stadium

Route 10 & Route 15: Judicial Square, Cuttack → MANU University / Utkal Hospital

These routes are expected to complement the additional Ama Bus services, ensuring efficient movement across the region.
Security & Stadium Preparedness
Barabati Stadium has been prepared with upgraded lighting, enhanced visuals, and strengthened infrastructure to welcome spectators.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), in coordination with state authorities, aims to deliver an “error-free” match experience as the five-match T20I series between India and South Africa gets underway.
