“The state government is fully committed to turning the dreams and aspirations of startup entrepreneurs into reality. Stronger startups will propel Odisha towards greater prosperity, and it’s essential for the youth to step forward and launch their ventures,” stated Gokulananda Mallik, Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He made these remarks while attending and motivating young entrepreneurs at the Startup Meet organised at O-Hub today.
In her welcome address, Rashmita Panda, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the MSME Department, detailed the various financial incentives provided by the department. Notably, these include monthly allowance grants, support for product development and marketing, and need-based assistance to bolster startup initiatives.
During the summit, the Minister distributed financial incentives to 12 young startup entrepreneurs. Under product development and marketing assistance, the recipients were Dirakai, Igl AI, Jaydev Natural Foods, Eco Sath Green India, Retrod, and Serlak Studio. For need-based support, the aid went to AstroneXt Technologies, Test Quest E-Learning, NC Square Ed Tech, Retrik Designs, DMAN EdTech, and TDB Rootlaunch.
Prafulla Kujur, Chief Executive Officer of Startup Odisha, extended a vote of thanks. Representatives from Igl AI and Retrik Designs shared their experiences and insights with the audience. It’s worth noting that through the Odisha Startup Policy, entrepreneurs are empowered with financial aid, mentorship, marketing support, networking opportunities, and more to foster innovation and growth.
