Thousands of postgraduate aspirants across Odisha now have a short but crucial window to challenge their provisional marks in the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET)-2026.

The Higher Education Department has opened the gates for online objections, ensuring every deserving candidate gets a fair shot at admission to coveted PG and teacher education programmes.

The provisional marks for candidates who appeared in CPET-2026, conducted by the State Selection Board (SSB), are already live. Results for the Entrance Test for Teacher Education Courses-2026 will be out tomorrow. But before the final merit lists are locked in, the department is giving students one last chance to point out any discrepancies.

How to Raise Your Objection

Candidates can submit objections only online through the SAMS Portal using their existing Login ID and Password via the dedicated Online Objection Module. No emails, no physical submissions, no extensions.

Important Schedule:

  • Opens: Friday, 10 July 2026 at 2:00 PM
  • Closes: Monday, 13 July 2026 at 6:00 PM

The final merit list and marks for both CPET-2026 and the Teacher Education Entrance Test will be published only after all objections are verified and resolved. Any objection filed after the deadline or through any other mode will be rejected outright.

This transparent objection process reflects the Odisha government’s commitment to a clean, merit-based admission system.

With intense competition for limited seats in postgraduate courses and teacher education programmes, even small mark discrepancies can make or break a student’s future.
