A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, killing at least 132 people and injuring around 570, according to the latest reports.
Rescue operations remain underway as emergency teams search collapsed buildings for survivors.
The earthquake caused widespread destruction across western Colombia, with more than 1,500 homes affected and 61 buildings completely collapsed. Cali, Pereira, Manizales and other cities were among the worst-hit areas.
Colombian authorities have declared a national emergency, while rescue teams continue to work amid concerns over aftershocks and further structural collapses. Several airports in the affected region have also suspended operations because of damage and safety inspections.
