The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Shri Akhilesh Kumar Singh, IPS (MH:2008), has been appointed as Joint Director, CBI, vice Ms Sudha Singh, IPS (OD:2006).
Similarly, Shri Satya Veer Singh, IPS (BH:2008), will take charge as Joint Director, CBI, vice Shri Ashwin Shenvi, IPS (HY:2006), while Shri Anish Gupta, IPS (JH:2008), has been appointed as Joint Director, CBI, vice Shri Ramnish Geer, following his superannuation.
The appointments, approved by the ACC, come into effect upon assumption of charge by the respective officers and are valid up to their specified tenure dates or until further orders.
