Cold Wave Continues Over Northern Odisha Dists, Mercury Plunges In 9 Places

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that the cold wave prevailed over northern interior Odisha on Saturday with at least 9 places recording temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.

According to the data shared by the local station of IMD at Bhubaneswar, the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees was recorded at Similiguda, followed by Kirei (8.0) in Sundergarh district and Daringbadi (8.0).

The highest maximum temperature (31 degrees) was recorded at Boudh. Jharsuguda (9.4), Keonjhar (9.0), Sonepur (8.8), Bhawanipatna (9.2), Koraput (9.5) and Mahisapat in Dhenkanal recorded 9.5 degrees minimum temperature on Saturday night, the IMD stated.

Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum of 27 and minimum of 12.3 degrees Celsius while Cuttack recorded maximum and minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees and 12.2 degrees last night. Dry weather prevailed over all districts of the State.
