The Centre has granted in-principle approval for the six-laning of the Palasuni bridge on National Highway (NH)-16 in Bhubaneswar.
The announcement was made by Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, who expressed her gratitude to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for his support.
The project, estimated to cost Rs 50 crore, aims to alleviate the persistent traffic congestion in the city. The proposed widening of the existing bridge over the Gangua nullah at Palasuni is expected to provide a much-needed solution to the traffic woes of Bhubaneswar’s residents.
This move marks an important step towards improving the infrastructure and enhancing the overall connectivity in the Odisha capital.
