Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total of 210 for 4 in 20 overs against Delhi Capitals in the 14th match of the TATA IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Wednesday.
The Titans’ innings was anchored by explosive contributions from the top and middle order, with three batters registering half-centuries. Skipper Shubman Gill led from the front with a fluent 70 off 45 balls, while Jos Buttler and all-rounder Washington Sundar provided the fireworks in the middle phase. Sundar, in particular, unleashed a blistering 55 off just 32 deliveries, including six boundaries and two sixes, before falling to Mukesh Kumar in the 19th over.
The partnership between Gill and Buttler set a strong platform, but it was Sundar’s aggressive strokeplay that accelerated the scoring rate. Glenn Phillips (14*) and Rahul Tewatia (1*) remained not out as GT finished strongly, despite a spirited fightback from DC’s death bowlers. Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi, claiming 2 for 55 in his four overs.
Earlier, DC won the toss and elected to field first on a pitch that appeared batting-friendly with good carry and true bounce. The decision reflected their confidence in chasing big totals, having won their opening two matches of the season.
With the target set at 211, all eyes are now on Delhi Capitals’ formidable batting lineup, led by captain Axar Patel. DC will need a clinical performance to secure their third consecutive victory and maintain their unbeaten run.
