Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation conducted raids at five locations in Odisha including Bhubaneswar, with alleged financial irregularities involving crores of rupees and tender fixing.
The locations targeted by the CBI included the zonal office of and Roof Co. Ltd Ram Mand in Bhubaneswar, its office in Nayapalli, the residence of Debad Mohapatra, the owner of Aditya Dev Infrch Private Limited in the Nakhara area of Cuttack, ChhatrapurThese raids were following a case registered by the Delhi CBI against the Bridge and Roof Company Limited.
Notably the CBIended four individuals, including Mohapatra at the May Hotel in Bhubaneswar during a surprise last night, where a deal is reportedly in progress.
During this, a luxury vehicle, net cash amounting to approximately Rs crore, and gold ornaments were reportedly seized, resulting in the detention of four individuals by the CBI.
According to reports, the raids continued throughout the night, accompanied by thorough interrogations of Debadutta Mohapatra and his associates by CBI.
As per the latest updates, raids were also being conducted at 11 locations across India, including Delhi and Kolkata.
