Cuttack: A staff of SCB Medical College and Hospital was caught consuming alcohol in the ticket counter of the trauma casualty ward of the hospital.
The incident of the same also went viral on social media.
Soon after the matter came to fore, the staff, identified as Santosh Kumar Dash, a lift operator at the hospital, was placed under suspension.
While Santosh has been suspended, official sources informed that managing director of the service-providing firm Subrat Samal has been served show-cause notice and instructed to terminate services of the accused staff.
