A car was completely destroyed in a sudden fire incident reported from Ogalapada on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Friday afternoon, causing panic among residents and briefly disrupting traffic in the area.
According to eyewitness accounts, smoke was first noticed emerging from the vehicle before it rapidly escalated into a major blaze. Within minutes, flames engulfed the entire car, leaving little scope for intervention.
Explosion Intensifies Blaze
The situation turned more alarming when a loud explosion-like sound was heard, reportedly after the fire reached the vehicle’s fuel tank. This significantly intensified the flames, making it difficult for bystanders to control the situation.
Despite efforts by locals to douse the fire, the intensity of the blaze forced them to retreat. By the time fire service personnel arrived, the vehicle had already been reduced to a charred shell.
