In a swift late-night operation, Bada Bazar police raided an active gambling den at Raja Sahi Junction, arresting 15 individuals and seizing ₹50,720 in cash.
According to police sources, the raid took place on Tuesday night while a police team was on routine patrolling duty in the area. Upon receiving credible information about an ongoing gambling operation at the junction, officers swooped in on the location.
Police apprehended 14 individuals directly from the spot. One person attempted to flee the scene but sustained injuries during the escape attempt and was subsequently arrested.
Along with the cash amount of ₹50,720, police confiscated 9 mobile phones and 4 motorcycles from the location. A case has been registered under Case No. 801/26 at the Bada Bazar police station, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
