A man was killed during a fight with his friend over money in Bandepadar village under Khaprakhol police station in Bolangir.
The deceased has been identified as Sushil Kumar Sahu.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the two friends, who were drinking together near the village, got into a heated argument over money. The situation escalated, and the accused, Pintu Sahu, allegedly struck Sushil on the head with a cudgel, resulting in his death on the spot.
The Khaprakhol police, along with Patnagarh SDPO Sadanand Pujahari and Khaprakhol OIC Narendra Chhattar, promptly reached the scene upon receiving the information. The body was recovered and handed over to the victim’s family after a post-mortem examination.
The accused has been arrested, and authorities have assured a thorough investigation into the incident.
