Centurian: South Africa’s top batting order crumbled as the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc to reduce the home team to 197 on Tuesday. Of course, it was a day of bowlers as total of 18 wickets fell on the third day of the Test.
Indian opener KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have started their second innings on a strong note but the latter failed to convert the start into a good total.
Meanwhile, India scored 16/1 (6.0) runs while Rahul and night watchman Shardul Thakur are standing in the middle for the fourth day.
India have bowled out South Africa for 197 runs to take 130-run first-innings lead on Tuesday. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers on Day 3 as the pacer has taken a 5-wicket haul to compete his 200 wickets in Test cricket.
Apart from Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur picked two wickets each while Mohammed Siraj got one. Temba Bavuma top-scored for South Africa with his 52-run knock.
Earlier Lungi Ngidi picked up six wickets as India suffered a batting collapse on Day 3 of the first Test. The visitors lost 7 wickets for just 55 runs on Tuesday and were bowled out for 327.
