Moving decisively against internal indiscipline, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Odisha state unit has suspended two of its key leaders for indulging in anti-party activities and violating organisational decorum.
The suspended leaders have been identified as Sashikanta Lenka from Niali, Cuttack district, and Barendra Mahalik, Vice President of the Yuva Morcha in Baleshwar district.
According to an official release issued by Sudarshan Nayak, State Convenor of the BJP Disciplinary Committee, the punitive action was executed following explicit instructions from BJP State President Manmohan Samal.
The party stated that both members were found engaging in activities detrimental to the organisational unity and discipline of the BJP. The decision underscores the party leadership’s firm stance on maintaining strict internal discipline as it strengthens its base across the state.
