Ashu Reddy, known for her appearance in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3, surprised fans after sharing pictures from her engagement ceremony on social media amid an ongoing alleged cheating controversy involving ₹9.35 crore.
The actor and influencer posted a series of photographs on Instagram on Friday, confirming her engagement while keeping the identity of her fiancé private.
Ashu Reddy Shares Engagement Photos on Instagram
Ashu Reddy shared multiple pictures showcasing moments from what appeared to be a traditional Telugu engagement ceremony. In one image, she is seen holding her fiancé’s hand while flaunting a gold and diamond engagement ring featuring infinity symbols.
Another monochrome photograph captured Ashu admiring the ring, while a separate image showed her fiancé affectionately holding her hand during the ceremony.
Although the engagement pictures quickly went viral on social media, Ashu has not yet revealed any personal details about her fiancé or the wedding plans.
Engagement Comes Amid ₹9.35 Crore Cheating Controversy
The engagement announcement comes weeks after Ashu Reddy became embroiled in a high-profile legal controversy.
In April 2026, Yenumula Satyanarayana Murthy filed a complaint in Hyderabad alleging that Ashu Reddy had cheated his son, UK-based software engineer YV Dharmendra, of ₹9.35 crore under the pretext of marriage.
The complaint reportedly named Ashu Reddy along with members of her family, including her father Venkata Krishna Koyya, sister Venkata Divya Reddy Koyya, and mother Koyya Yashoda Reddy.
Following the complaint, the Central Crime Station (CCS) registered an FIR in the matter.
Ashu Reddy Responds to Allegations
Reacting to the controversy, Ashu Reddy issued a public statement warning against the circulation of false or unverified claims about her.
She stated that any misinformation shared without her consent would invite strict legal action.
Soon after, Ashu approached the High Court of Telangana seeking protection against defamatory content being circulated online and in the media.
According to Ashu, the Telangana High Court passed an order on April 29, 2026, restraining media outlets, content creators and digital platforms from publishing defamatory material against her while the matter remains sub judice.
In a social media statement, she appealed for privacy and dignity, stressing that the court would decide the matter legally.
Ashu Reddy’s Rise to Fame
Ashu Reddy first gained popularity on social media as the “Dubsmash Queen” because of her resemblance to Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
She later transitioned into acting and appeared in Telugu films including Focus and Spark.
Apart from films, Ashu became widely recognised after participating in Bigg Boss Telugu and Bigg Boss Non-Stop, where she built a strong fan following.
