Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Bhubaneswar Municipal Commission (BMC) also resumed grievance hearing from today.
Reportedly, the hearing will be conducted every Monday (except govt holidays) between 11 am and 1.30 pm. BMC Commissioner Rajesh Pravakar Patil said, “Most of the grievances that came up were localised.”
The BMC Commissioner and other officials usually listen to the people directly and take necessary steps to resolve public issues.
The grievances hearing was halted due to the election code of conduct. As per the instructions of the General Administration and Public Grievances Department, it will be resumed from July 1, Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil has informed.
The public hearing that was being conducted on Monday every week, was stopped from March 16 due to model code of conduct imposed by the Election Commission of India for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha.
People can file their complaints and grievances during the public hearing to be conducted in the BDA office between 11 am and 1.30 pm on every working Monday, the official said.
