The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled its annual central contracts for the 2024-25 season.
As expected, star players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja have been retained in the elite A+ category, securing top-tier contracts.
Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who faced exclusion due to non-compliance with domestic cricket obligations, have now been reinstated, much to the relief of their fans. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has been upgraded to the A category, reflecting his growing importance to the national squad.
Adding to the excitement, young talents Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, and Varun Chakaravarthy have bagged their first-ever central contracts, listed under category C. This move highlights BCCI’s commitment to nurturing emerging players and ensuring a strong future for Indian cricket.
