Uttrakhand: Portals of Badrinath temple are all set to reopen from 18th May at 4:15 am, Chardham Devasthanam Board official informed.
According to sources, the hour and date for the reopening of the Himalayan temple was decided at a ceremony held on the occasion of Basant Panchami at Narendra Nagar palace.
Reportedly, the temple was closed since last year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and a substantially reduced number of pilgrims could visit it owing to COVID-19 restrictions.
Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The temple and town form one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites.
