Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida on Friday visited Bonda Ghat in Mudulipada under Khairaput block of Malkangiri district and reviewed the work done under various schemes.
Smt Parida discussed various problems of the area with the local people and said the development in the Bonda Ghat area, including road construction, drinking water, internet facilities, etc. will go on at a fast pace.
The fourth instalment of Subhadra Yojana money has been postponed by the state government for Banda women who are deprived of getting money from the scheme. The survey under Subhadra Yojana is under process. After the survey is completed, the fourth instalment will be distributed immediately throughout the state, and all Bonda women beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana will benefit, said Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida.
It is worth mentioning that, there were reports of concerns regarding the absence of Subhadra Yojana support in Bonda Ghat. In response, the Deputy Chief Minister mentioned that she would conduct a personal review. During her visit to Koraput-Malkangiri today, she took the opportunity to visit Bonda Ghat and reviewed the Subhadra Yojana.
Along with this, she promised to establish a tribal museum related to the culture and tradition of the Bonda tribe at Bonda Ghat and announced an increase of Rs 50,000 from the financial allocation in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin.
Smt Parida directed the District Collector to immediately start the construction of road ghats and drinking water facilities at Bonda Ghat and submit a report to the Deputy Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Malkangiri MLA Narasingh Madkami, Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khila, District Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil, Deputy Collector Duryodhan Bhoi, District Welfare Officer Srinivas Achari were prominently present.
