Over 8,000 individuals have re-enrolled in the ‘Subhadra’ scheme after accidentally selecting the ‘Opt Out’ option on the portal, as reported by the Women and Child Development department on Saturday.
Previously, the Odisha government introduced the ‘Opt-in’ option in the Subhadra portal for eligible beneficiaries who had mistakenly chosen the ‘Opt Out’ option in the Subhadra Yojana. This new feature was implemented to allow beneficiaries the opportunity to re-enrol in the scheme.
However, over 200,000 applicants have yet to complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process, which could jeopardize their chances of receiving financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana, despite their eligibility.
In light of this situation, authorities have urged all pending participants to complete their e-KYC documentation at the nearest public service centre promptly to avoid any delays in the disbursement of funds.
Additionally, the Odisha cabinet has set March 31, 2025, as the deadline for registration to avail benefits under the Subhadra Yojana for the financial year 2024-25.
