As nationwide attention focuses on the upcoming June 6 protest led by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, his family has temporarily relocated from their home in Maharashtra, reflecting growing concerns over the increasing spotlight on the young activist.

Dipke, a Boston-based professional who has emerged as a prominent voice against alleged failures in India’s education system, is preparing to lead a protest march in New Delhi demanding accountability over examination irregularities and paper leak controversies.

Family Moves to Undisclosed Location

According to family members, the Dipkes have temporarily shifted from their residence in the MIDC Waluj area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, formerly known as Aurangabad, to an undisclosed location.

Despite speculation surrounding the move, Dipke’s father, Bhagwanrao Dipke, clarified that the family has not received any direct threats.

“Being a father, my concerns are obvious,” he said while speaking about his son’s growing public profile and activism.

Bhagwanrao Dipke, who retired as an engineer from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), revealed that he initially tried to persuade his son to reconsider launching the campaign. However, he acknowledged that Abhijeet remains committed to his cause.

June 6 Protest Gains Momentum

Abhijeet Dipke has called for a major gathering in Delhi on June 6, urging supporters to “meet me at the airport” before proceeding toward Jantar Mantar.

The protest aims to highlight concerns related to alleged examination irregularities, including issues surrounding NEET, CUET and other competitive examinations that affect millions of students across the country.

The movement has rapidly gained traction on social media, particularly among students and young professionals frustrated by recurring controversies in the education sector.

‘Ready to Be Arrested’

Human rights activist and advocate Asim Sarode revealed that Dipke recently contacted him regarding legal support for the protest.

According to Sarode, Dipke indicated that he is prepared for possible detention if authorities take action against the demonstration.

“Abhijeet Dipke told me he is ready to get arrested,” Sarode said, adding that the activist believes the issue impacts not only students but also millions of parents whose families are affected by examination-related controversies.

Dipke has consistently maintained that his movement will remain peaceful and operate within the boundaries of the law.

Prominent Personalities Invited

The CJP founder has reportedly invited several well-known public figures to join the demonstration, including education reform advocates, social activists, journalists and public intellectuals.

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has already expressed support for the movement and indicated that he may participate if concerns raised by students remain unresolved.

The growing backing from public figures has significantly increased national attention on the protest.

Not a Political Party, Says Dipke

Despite the name “Cockroach Janata Party,” Dipke has repeatedly stated that his initiative is not intended to become a traditional political party.

Instead, he describes it as a citizens’ movement focused on accountability, transparency and reforms in education and governance.

Supporters argue that the campaign represents growing frustration among young Indians seeking greater institutional accountability.

National Attention Ahead of June 6

As the June 6 protest approaches, authorities, political observers and student communities across India are closely monitoring developments.

While the scale of participation remains uncertain, the movement has already succeeded in generating widespread debate on examination reforms, student welfare and public accountability.

For now, the spotlight remains firmly on Abhijeet Dipke, whose campaign has transformed from an online movement into a national conversation.
