In a stellar showcase of talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit, the Government of Odisha’s Mission Shakti department established the exclusive ‘Subhadra Shakti Pop-Up Bazaar’ at the recently concluded FICCI FRAMES 2026 in Mumbai.
Held on September 29 and 30, the two-day showcase brought the rich heritage of Odisha’s handlooms and handicrafts directly to the heart of India’s premier media and entertainment gathering.
FICCI FRAMES, widely recognised as a definitive platform for the nation’s media and entertainment sector, provided an ideal national stage to spotlight the remarkable craftsmanship of women entrepreneurs from rural and semi-urban Odisha. Visitors and industry leaders witnessed firsthand the intricate artistry and dedication woven into every traditional product.
The pop-up store drew significant attention from prominent figures across the film, entertainment, and culinary worlds. Notable personalities including Bollywood actor and parliamentarian Ravi Kishan, content creator and actress Prajakta Koli, actor Amol Parashar, acclaimed actress Rasika Dugal, and celebrity chef Ranveer Brar visited the ‘Subhadra Shakti’ pavilion. As a token of Odisha’s legendary hospitality, these esteemed guests were presented with exclusive ‘Subhadra Shakti’ gift hampers containing handcrafted treasures created by the women entrepreneurs.
Speaking about the initiative, officials noted that this strategic exposure opens doors to broader markets for Odisha’s grassroots creators. By bridging local craftsmanship with national and international commercial networks, the ‘Subhadra Shakti Pop-Up Bazaar’ marks a monumental step forward in empowering women economically and establishing a distinct global identity for their products.
