Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida officially announced the commencement of the 7th edition of the Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2026, scheduled to be held from October 3 to 5 at the Mayfair Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar.
Jointly organised by the Department of Tourism and FICCI, the flagship marketplace features participation from over 92 private exhibitors, international tour operators spanning 27 countries, and domestic buyers from 32 cities.
With a definitive focus on executing the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, the three-day event is projected to anchor more than 6,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings. Emphasising the state’s progressive framework, Smt. Parida stated, “Our tagline is ‘Think India, Think Odisha.’ If anyone in the world wishes to invest in India or explore India, they must think of Odisha first.”
The state’s updated tourism blueprint moves beyond traditional hospitality corridors, concentrating heavily on rural immersion, community-led homestays, adventure circuits, and sustainable economic benefits that directly uplift local communities. To give delegates a hands-on experience of these initiatives, eight pre- and post-event Familiarisation (FAM) Tours will transport international buyers, media, and influencers across Odisha’s diverse wildlife, tribal traditions, spiritual landmarks, and coastal belts.
Adding a vibrant flavour to the marketplace, celebrity Chef Shri Ranveer Brar will lead a special experience-sharing session dedicated to promoting Odisha’s rich culinary heritage. Senior bureaucrats, tourism secretaries, and trade heads—including representatives from HRAO, TAAO, IATO, and OTOA—were present at the landmark pre-event announcement, signalling unified public-private momentum to cement Odisha’s leadership on the global tourism map.
