The highly anticipated action drama Om: Chapter 1, starring Dhanush and Mammootty, is reportedly aiming for a theatrical release on Nov 26, 2026.
According to sources, the film features among major upcoming Tamil releases for late November, though official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
Titled Om – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood, the movie was initially set to hit screens on Oct 16, 2026. However, Dhanush officially announced its postponement to avoid a massive box-office clash with Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 and Suriya’s upcoming film Scene, slated for Nov 6.
Highlighting industry unity and mutual respect, Dhanush noted that avoiding back-to-back clashes benefits the overall health of cinema. Planned as the first installment of a multi-part franchise, the actioner features a stellar ensemble cast including Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, and Naseeruddin Shah, with a musical score composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the powerhouse pairing of Dhanush and Mammootty in this large-scale cinematic spectacle.
