An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar struck a Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS) pole while parking at Bay No. 6 of Srinagar Airport on Friday morning.

Flight 6E 225 (VT‑NOG) landed safely at 9:02 am but suffered slight damage during the parking process. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that all passengers and crew were unharmed and deboarded safely using manual stairs.

AAI officials said the incident will be examined by appropriate authorities under prescribed procedures. “The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion is being drawn at this stage,” the statement read.

Airport operations continued normally, with arrivals and departures unaffected.

An IndiGo spokesperson said the aircraft has been grounded for maintenance and will resume operations after clearances. “The safety and security of customers and staff is our topmost priority,” the airline added.
