Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 120th episode of his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, emphasized how India’s diverse festivals reflect the nation’s deep-rooted cultural richness and unity.

He extended his heartfelt wishes to citizens on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and various other upcoming festivals, including Eid.

During the broadcast, PM Modi shared messages from people across the country who had sent their best wishes for Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Vishu, and the Hindu New Year.

“Today and in the coming days, the New Year is being celebrated in different states of our country, and people have sent me greetings in various languages,” he remarked, underlining the regional significance of these celebrations.

He highlighted key festivals such as Ugadi in Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh; Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra; Rongali Bihu in Assam; Poila Baisakh in Bengal; and Navreh in Kashmir, showcasing India’s vibrant traditions.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister acknowledged the excitement surrounding upcoming festivities between April 13-15, with grand celebrations expected across the country. He also extended warm greetings for Eid, emphasizing how India’s festivals unite its people despite regional differences.

“These festivals may belong to different regions, but they showcase how unity is deeply woven into the diversity of India,” PM Modi said, urging citizens to continue strengthening this spirit of national harmony.
